Safe Cities for Women is an international program with Delhi being one of the cities for the pilot phase. Two films were made on the launch and complete documentation of the program respectively.
The launch film articulated the agenda of the program and the expectations of the stakeholders in a poetic and a stylized manner highlighting the aspirations of the program.
The films connected with the policy makers and the women on the streets voicing their concerns and suggestions to make Delhi a better and safer city for women.
Using stylized documentary with codes of television presentation, the aesthetic followed was an observational style blended with a stylized editorial slant. A non-intrusive camera followed the characters in the city themselves opening up and presenting the program through their perspective.
