TOGETHER AGAINST COVID began as a small guide book for Injecting Drug Users with the aim to create basic awareness on Covid19.The idea was to create a self-help book that aids in demystifying Covid and make the Drug Users take notice. For a vulnerable group like this it was important to create a sense of urgency regarding covid norms, hygiene and safe practices. Linking the users to the health system and most importantly to the Drug Users Forum has been an important step in this endeavour.
Currently being implemented across many states of India.
Using vibrant illustrations and a bright bold visual approach, together with the use of the spoken word, it was a fresh visual approach for a partial or neo-literate audience like this. The guide book demystifies Covid and also acts as a support material for Covid management.
The materials have a friendly, informal tone diffusing any panic and mobilizing the drug users community safe guard themselves.
