(Advocacy/ Gender)
UNZIP THE LIPS has been a gender advocacy program engaging with women for equal space and agency. A series of advocacy materials were created asking basic but tough questions on relationships, rights and agency. These voices that have always been asked in the background or in whispers have now been asked in the open without inhibitions, urging women to speak up.
Visually articulating the silent voices and the questions challenging the norms made a strong advocacy tool highlighting the need for speaking up and questioning the societal attitude in a bold manner.
Asking questions visually and challenging the heretic norms required a strong visual design to visually aid and articulate the voices that must speak up. Hence highlighting the bold questions through bold typography and loud colours helped in creating a strong advocacy tool.
