Safe Cities for Women is an international program and Delhi being one of the cities of the pilot phase. Two films were made on the launch and complete documentation of the program respectively.
The documentation film covered the complete journey of the program highlighting the challenges, the success and the completion of the program. The perspectives of all the stakeholders across the spectrum were represented with a conversational approach.
The films connected with the policy makers and the women on the streets voicing their concerns and suggestions to make Delhi a better and safer city for women.
Using stylized documentary with codes of television presentation, the aesthetic followed was an observational style blended with a stylized editorial slant. A non-intrusive camera followed the characters, stakeholders in the city themselves opening up and presenting the program through their perspective.
