This publication documents proceeds of an international workshop on conserving coastal and maritime biodiversity. The learnings and proceedings of the workshop were documented in this publication with the hope that the experiences shared in the workshop would lead to improved conservation planning and management of coastal and maritime biodiversity around the world, with particular emphasis on the Indian context.
Documenting the diverse experiences and perspectives, the challenges and the success of various endeavors from across the globe has been the biggest highlight of such a publication. It brought together the opinions, learnings and that can hopefully go a long way helping the vulnerable coastlines heal and thus the environment at large.
