EK NAYA JIWAN is a comic book based on the life of a participant from the interaction workshop held for making this comic, in one of the cluster settlements of Delhi. With a focus on certain economic categories and backgrounds, the focus of this comic was the family and addressing the larger issue from that perspective. The book discusses the widespread problem of alcoholism through part fact-part fiction comic interweaved with medical information.
Implemented in the state of Delhi in India.
Creating a comic using a real life stories from one of the participants required intense collaboration and empathy. However the endeavor was also to make it interesting, to mobilize the young readers using relatable settings, characters and language made the comic identifiable with the audience to pick it up and align with the issue.
