DO KADAM Barabariki Ore is a program addressing gender-based violence.
The endeavor is to provide a platform to women to not only speak up against violence but also enable women at the grassroots to be financially educated and socially strengthened. The toolkit helps in setting up a discussion on issues like gender based discrimination, domestic violence, financial independence and mobility, freedom of expression and life choices.
Interactive in nature, this tool kit is based on case studies from the community.
Implemented in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand in India.
Creating a toolkit from real life situations, the cases pose as triggers to begin a group discussion and think aloud on issues. Using relatable situations with simple, spoken language, the drawings highlight and provide ideas for solutions that may be reached through collective brainstorming.
